The oldest dog in history, Bobi, passes away at age 31.

Bobi, the world’s oldest dog ever, has failed after reaching the nearly implausible age of 31 times and 165 days, said Guinness World Records( GWR) on Monday.

He spent his whole life in Conqueiros, a small Portuguese vill about 150 kilometers( 93 long hauls) north of the capital Lisbon, frequently wandering around with pussycats. Bobi was a thoroughbred Rafeiro do Alentejo – a strain of beast guardian canine – according to his proprietor.

Rafeiro do Alentejos have a life expectation of about 12- 14 times, according to the American Kennel Club.

“ Bobi is special because looking at him is like flashing back the people who were part of our family and unfortunately are no longer then, like my father, my family, or my grandparents who have formerly left this world, ” Costa told GWR in May. “ Bobi represents those generations. ”
