Indore: Driver arrested for dragging cop on car bonnet for 4 km, weapons found in the vehicle

Indore: A traffic policeman was dragged on top of a car’s Bonnet for a few kilometres after its driver tried to dodge a fine for talking on a mobile whine while driving the vehicle at Satya Say square during a routine checking drive on Monday.

The driver stopped the car only around 3.7 kilometres away from Lasudia Police station after the road blocked with the help of two trucks.

The man, Keshav Upadhyay, a resident of Indore was arrested under section 353, 332, 269 of IPC for assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty.

The dramatic incident took place in broad light, When Keshav stopped the car a head constable issued a challan as he violated the traffic rules.

During the argument, the head constable came in front of the car to stop it and he fell on the bonnet in a way to prevent it from moving ahead. Keshav however, spread away the vehicle despite interventions from other member of the team, Police said
