With an estimated cost of ₹4,000 crore, UAE-based retailer LuLu Group plans to build what it calls India’s largest shopping complex in Ahmedabad.

According to reports on the fringes of the ongoing Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Yusuff Ali MA, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International, stated that work on the proposed shopping complex will begin in 2024.

In Vibrant Gujarat, a miniature has been displayed at the UAE stall.

“Work on the largest retail mall in India, a miniature version, is about to begin. This year alone, development will begin,” stated Ali.

Yusuff Ali hinted in September 2023 that his group planned to build two sizable shopping centers in Chennai and Ahmedabad, India.

“At the end of this month, we will launch our shopping complex in Hyderabad, and we plan to build one of the biggest malls in Chennai and Ahmedabad. Additionally, we are traveling to many states to visit malls and process food,” he had stated.

It currently operates malls in six Indian cities, the most recent ones being Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Coimbatore.
