This month, a 15-year-old kid from Kerala committed suicide as a result of “brutal ragging, bullying, and physical assault” from his peers. Mihir Ahammed had been subjected to extreme torture due to the color of his skin, according to details provided by his mother. He was “forced to lick toilet seats” and had his “head shoved into the toilet while it was flushed.”
Even on his last day, Mihir was subjected to unspeakable humiliation, verbal abuse, and physical assault. He was ordered to lick a toilet seat, forced into the restroom, and had his head shoved into the toilet as it flushed. In a message posted on social media, Rajna PM said, “These cruel deeds broke him in ways we cannot comprehend.”
His mother has petitioned the Child Commission for an investigation into the alleged attacks, and a formal complaint has been filed in connection with the issue.
About an hour after getting home from school on January 15, the adolescent plunged from his 26-story Kochi home. At the time of his passing, Ahammed was a pupil at the Global Public School in the Thiruvaniyoor neighborhood of Ernakulam. His mother has filed a petition to look into claims of abuse by the vice principal of GEMS Kochi, his former school.
A horrifying trail of abuse from a “gang of students at school and on the school bus” was discovered by Ahammed’s parents, who had started collecting information in the days after his death to better understand his intentions.

Because of the color of his skin, he was bullied. Even after his death, they continued to be harsh. The degree of their cruelty is shown in a startling chat screenshot. They celebrated his passing and sent the message, “fk nia he actually died,” his mother continued.
Rajna PM also said that the school administration had done little to address the issue and accused them of conspiring to hide the occurrence. She said that days after his friends started it, an Instagram page calling for justice for Mihir was also taken down.
Students are reportedly being intimidated by the school to keep the truth to themselves. When I brought evidence to the school administration and demanded accountability, they merely told me that the police had been notified. She claimed, “I firmly believe they are trying to conceal these incidents in order to preserve the school’s reputation.”
