Indian- made whiskey, Indri,  lately  entered the prestigious ‘ Stylish in Show, Double Gold ’ award at the 2023 Whiskies of the World Awards.

This competition, which is one of the largest in the world for tasting whiskey, evaluates over 100 types of whiskies from  each over the globe each time.

The Indian single malt triumphed over  multitudinous  transnational brands, including scotch, bourbon, Canadian, Australian, and British single malts. 

Introduced in 2021, the locally- produced brand Indri from the Piccadilly Distilleries in Haryana began its  trip with the  initial  triadic- barrel single malt from India, known as Indri- Trini. Speaking further about the brand, this peated Indian single malt is  drafted from six- row barley and distilled in traditional bobby pot stills within India.

It offers a medley of flavors, encompassing  sweetened dried fruits, heated nuts, subtle spices, oak, bittersweet chocolate, and more.

It passed a lengthy aging process in PX Sherry Casks in the North Indiansub-tropical climate.  Following an  expansive period of development in PX sherry  pipes in the tropical climate of North India, this distinctive whiskey presents notes of bank,  sweetened dried fruits, heated nuts, subtle spices, oak, and bittersweet chocolate.

The award- winning  libation will be accessible throughout the country as well as in the US and  elect European countries starting from November. Indri- Trini is  formerly distributed in 19  countries in India and 17 other countries.
