An Indian merchant and a Swiss watch manufacturer have collaborated to develop a limited edition Ram Janambhoomi watch, which is priced at an incredible Rs 34 lakh ($41,000). The watch, which is available in two versions, honors the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir, which took place earlier this year in the city of Ayodhya in northern India.

Based on Jacob & Co.’s renowned Epic X Skeleton series, Ethos and the company have collaborated to develop the opulent timepiece.

“The watch is designed to serve as an homage to the profound cultural heritage of India and will be one of the most unique collaborative timepieces ever made,” the business stated.

The clock reads “Jai Shree Ram” at six o’clock and displays the Ram Temple at nine. Both iterations of the saffron-bracelet watch boldly display Lord Hanuman and Lord Rama.

The watch’s color was selected with great symbolic meaning; it stands for spirituality, cleanliness, and the essence of prayer—all of which are essential to the ideals that Hindutva upholds. Every element has been thoughtfully chosen to have spiritual and cultural resonance.”

Only 49 limited edition watches have been produced, 35 of which are now sold out, according to the firm.

The Indian Supreme Court gave the Hindu side permission to erect the temple on the land in 2019 following years of legal disputes and debates. Nearly four years after Prime Minister Narendra Modi set the foundation stone (Bhumi puja) in August 2020, he participated in the magnificent temple’s consecration ceremony, during which Ram Lalla was placed in the sanctum sanctorum.

Hinduism revolves around the temple, and the entire complex was constructed in the traditional Nagara manner. The temple will be 161 feet high, 250 feet broad, and 380 feet long when it is finished in an east-west orientation. The temple will have 44 gates, 392 pillars, and each floor be 20 feet high.
