Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s Gadar 2 has recently surpassed the Rs 300 crore mark in India and is doing quite well at the box office. It surged by 55 percent on its second Saturday to bring in Rs 32 crore after earning Rs 20.5 crore on Friday, according to industry analyst Sacnilk. The movie has so far earned a total of 336.13 crore rupees in India and 395.1 crores abroad.

This is the highest second Saturday of all time, surpassing Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 26.5 crore), The Kashmir Files (Rs 24.8 crore), and Pathaan (Rs 22 crore).

Sacnilk predicts that the movie will have a solid second weekend and that it may earn Rs 40 crore on Sunday. Gadar 2 had a strong opening weekend despite competition from Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and Rajinikanth’s Jailer, earning an astounding Rs 40 crores on its first day.

Gadar 2 is anticipated to surpass Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 339 crore), PK (Rs 340 crore), and Sanju (Rs 342) tomorrow to surpass even Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 320 crore) as the fifth-highest grossing Hindi film ever at the domestic box office.

After Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Gadar 2 is the biggest post-pandemic hit of the Hindi cinema industry. Other films, such as Tu Jhoothi Main Makkkar, Satyaprem Ki Katha, and Kerala Story, also scored well at the box office. In the Anil Sharma-directed film, Sunny and Ameesha reprise their roles as Tara Singh and Sakina. Gadar 2 also features Utkarsh Sharma.

Gadar 2 to enter the 500 Cr. club?

Given the current circumstances and the enormous foreign fan base that Gadar 2 has gathered, a worldwide gross of Rs 500 crore is not out of the question. By doing so, it will beat Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan to take second place for the year in box office receipts. What makes Gadar 2 so exceptional is its low budget of less than Rs 100 crore.
