Indian medical graduates will be permitted to exercise or continue their education after  scale in nations like the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand because to the National Medical Commission’s( NMC) recent accession of World Federation for Medical Education( WFME) recognition status. 

Now that the National Medical Commission( NMC) has been granted World Federation for Medical Education( WFME)  honored status for a period of ten times, Indian medical graduates will be authorized to practice  drug abroad.  

The Union Health Ministry issued a press release to notify the news. With WFME  delegation as a  demand, this will make it possible for medical graduates with degrees from Indian  sodalities to pursue post-graduation or practice  drug in nations including the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. 

WFME has accredited all 706 of India’s medical  seminaries  presently in operation. The WFME will also automatically accredit any new medical institutions  innovated in the following ten times.  

The WFME’s  delegation of the NMC will allow the commission to raise the  quality and  norms of medical education in India by bringing it in line with worldwide stylish practices and  marks, in addition to its attractiveness on a global scale.

The World Federation for Medical Education( WFME) is an  transnational group whose  thing is to raise the standard of medical education  each over the world. 

The health ministry stated in the statement that the association’s purpose is to ameliorate healthcare for all people while also advancing the  topmost ethical and scientific  norms in medical education.  

The press release also highlights the  pivotal function played by the Education Commission on Foreign Medical Education( ECFMG), which is in charge of regulating the licensing of foreign medical graduates( IMGs) in the US.  

The United States Medical Licensing Examinations( USMLEs) and  operations for  occupancy programs both bear ECFMG  instrument for IMGs.  

The figure for the WFME recognition procedure is Rs($ 60,000), which covers the costs of  point  examinations, transport, and lodging for evaluation  brigades.  

With the knowledge that the NMC’s  instrument encompasses all medical  sodalities falling within its  compass, this suggests an approximate total cost of Rs351.9 crore($) for all 706 medical institutions in India to apply for WFME enrollment .
