Prime Minster Narendra Modi launched the first phase of the International Convention and Expo Centre( IICC), YashoBhoomi, in Delhi’s Dwarka moment on his birthday( September 17).
‘ Bharat Mata ki Jai ’ chants resounded at the convention centre after PM Modi inaugurated the YashoBhoomi.
PM Modi took a metro lift on his way to the Convention Centre. He was seen interacting with the commuters in the metro. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express line from Dwarka Sector 21 to a new metro station ‘ YashoBhoomi Dwarka Sector 25 ’.
YashoBhoomi will also be connected to the Delhi Airport Metro Express line with the induction of the new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25. Reaching YashoBhoomi Convention Centre, PM Modi interacted with the crafters and handicraftsmen.
After inaugurating YashoBhoomi and the extension of Delhi metro field line, PM Modi launched his government’s ambitious scheme, “ PM Vishwakarma ”, which is aimed at helping crafters and tradesmen and others engaged in traditional chops on the occasion.
As interpreters of these traditional occupations come largely from Other Backward Classes, the scheme with an disbursement of Rs 13,000 crore is also being seen as the ruling BJP’s outreach to the politically important member.

The convention centre, erected across further than 73,000 square metres of area, comprises 15 convention apartments, including, the main theater , a chamber and 13 meeting apartments with a total capacity of holding 11,000 delegates.
The Auditorium
The main auditorium is the grand hall for the convention centre and is equipped with a seating capacity of around 6,000 guests. It features an innovative automated seating system that allows for colorful seating configurations.
The Ballroom
Distinguished by its unique petal ceiling, the ballroom can host roughly 2,500 guests, with an fresh open area seating up to 500 people.
The 13 meeting apartments, spread across eight bottoms, are designed to accommodate a range of meetings of different scales.
In addition to these installations, YashoBhoomi also offers one of the world’s largest exhibition halls, gauging over 1.07 lakh square measures. These halls, connected to a grand foyer space, will host exhibitions, trade expositions, and business events.
The foyer has multiple support areas, like, media apartments, VVIP couches, cloak installations, caller information centre, and marking counters.
In view of the event, Delhi Traffic Police issued business advisories for commuters. The route from NH- 48 to Nirmal Dham Nala( UER- 1I) will be affected during the whole day. Commuters are advised to avoid UER- Il( NH- 48 to Nirmal Dham Nala).
The commuters are advised to take an alternate route for Najafgarh from NH- 8 Bijwasan Najafgarh Road. NH- 48 via UER- Il from Najafgarh/ Dwarka Take left tur from Dhulsiras Chowk towards Dwarka Sector- 23 and can use RoadNo. 224. Gurugram from Dwarka Dhuisiras Road towards Bamnoli Village and can use Najafgarh Bijwasan Road.
The residers of Dwarka Sub-city and West Delhi Palam Flyover to reach their destinations. In order to minimize problems, general public are advised to plan their trip in advance.
