The Junagadh Police have chosen to carry out air surveillance by paragliding above Lili Parikrama’s path in Girnar, a first for the department.

The yearly Girnar Lili Parikrama, which commenced on November 23rd, is anticipated to draw over 15 lakh worshippers. For the first time, the police will deploy paramotor surveillance to maintain a secure watch in the sections of the jungle that are difficult for cars to access.

Harshad Mehta, the superintendent of police for the Junagadh district, personally saw the route while paragliding and declared, “We are using paramotor surveillance if surveillance is needed for areas that are not communicable and do not have access to vehicular transport.” This paramotor is an adventure sports glider with non-fixed wings that allows one officer and one pilot to conduct surveillance. The cop will be equipped with a wireless headphone system and a 360-degree surveillance camera.
