India saw a dramatic increase in Covid-19 instance on Wednesday, with 10,542 new cases being reported on the previous day. Now that the figures are in, there are 63,562 active cases throughout the nation.
With 7,633 new cases of Covid-19 reported on Tuesday, the nation experienced a modest decline.
According to data from the health ministry, the country had 9,111 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, while there were 60,313 active cases and 5,31,141 deaths overall.
Covid advisory issued in West Bengal
The West Bengal government released a Covid-19 advisory on Tuesday due to an increase in Covid cases across the nation.
Mass meetings, particularly those attended by the elderly, children, pregnant women, and those with co-morbidities, have been forbidden, according to new advise. In crowded areas, proper mask use has been made mandatory for all ages.
The Warning stated that if forced to enter a throng, “as far as is reasonably practicable, please use proper mask regardless of age.”
In order to eradicate the virus, the government has also advised people to often wash their hands and use alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
Those who have not yet received a booster dose of the Covid vaccine have been urged to do so right away.
Anyone who has tested positive for Covid has been advised to stay home alone for a week and adhere to Covid home management recommendation.
Additionally, they have been told to report right away to a local hospital if the situation worsens.
