India may already be gaining population share from China. By the end of 2022, India is expected to have 141.7 crore people, according to the world population Review (WPR). Over 50 lakhs more than the 141.2 crores that china announced on January 17 makes up this amount.

According to WPR, India’s Population increased to 142.3 crores as of January 18. WPR predicts that even while population growth has slowed, it will climb until at least 2050.

India’s projected to have 1.668 billion people by 2050. Despite a drop that began in 2022, China’s population will still be larger than 1.4 billion in 2035.

In the upcoming years, India, a country with a population that is half under 30 years old, is predicted to have the world’s fastest-growing major economy.

About 800 millions people in India still rely on free food rations from the government, the largest programme of its kind in the world, despite the country’s tremendous economic growth prior to the Covid outbreak and its relatively successful recovery.

The third-largest economy in Asia currently produces enough food on its own. In terms of producing rice, wheat, and sugar, it ranks second. In addition, it is the biggest importer of edible oils and the highest consumer of sugar.

India is the world’s second-largest market for the consumption of gold, steel, and crude oil. The third-largest domestic aviation market in the entire globe is located there.
