On Friday, while attending the G7 Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had bilateral discussions with a number of international leaders in Apulia, Italy.

PM Modi shared a group photo of world leaders after his one-day visit, including Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and US President Joe Biden. Indians were quick to notice that PM Modi was firmly positioned in the middle of the image, saying things like, “India is now at the center of the world.”

A user on X said, “Sir, This is the impact of your leadership and charismatic personality, that India is a not a part of G7, yet you got centre-stage at G7 Summit.”

“Many people come and go in the world,” remarked a third person. Few of them are recorded in world history. Out of those handful, just one is tall. Modi is this century’s singular leader. The entire globe is supporting him. The country of Bharat is proud. The main attraction is Modi.”

The European Union and its seven members—the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, and France—participated in the summit. Giorgia Meloni, the prime minister of Italy, invited Prime Minister Modi to attend the G7 Summit, which would be India’s eleventh attendance and PM Modi’s fifth in a row. Furthermore, leaders from eleven developing nations in Africa, South America, and the Indo-Pacific area were invited by Italy.

Early on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for New Delhi. When PM Modi looked back on his time at the G7 Summit in Italy, he called it “very productive.”

“Interacted with world leaders and discussed various subjects,” he wrote on X. Our shared goal is to develop significant solutions that improve the international community and make life better for coming generations.”
