Ten years after its original release, Interstellar is being rereleased in 70mm Imax and theaters.
Variety reports that in celebration of the film’s tenth anniversary, Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan, would be screened on digital screens and 70mm Imax copies beginning on September 27, 2024. Paramount and Warner Bros. are in charge of the film’s rerelease.

Jessica Chastain as Murphy “Murph” Cooper, John Lithgow as Donald, Casey Affleck as Tom Cooper, Wes Bentley as Doyle, Topher Grace as Getty, Ellen Burstyn as the elderly Murph, Timothée Chalamet as 15-year-old Tom, Mackenzie Foy as 10-year-old Murph, and Matt Damon as Dr. Mann are among the cast members of Interstellar, in addition to McConaughey and Caine.

Nolan and his brother, Jonathan Nolan, collaborated on the screenplay for the movie. In the end, the film won the Best Visual Effects prize (Paul Franklin, Andrew Lockley, Ian Hunter, and Scott Fisher). It was nominated for multiple Academy Awards, including Best Original Score (Hans Zimmer), Best Production Design (Nathan Crowley and Gary Fettis), Best Sound Editing (Richard King), and Best Sound Mixing (Gary Rizzo, Gregg Landaker, and Mark Weingarten).

November 2014 saw the initial release of the film in US theaters. With an estimated budget of $165 million, it brought in about $731 million at the box office worldwide. After directing this film , Nolan went on to direct Dunkirk in 2017, Tenet in 2020, and Oppenheimer in 2023. September 27, 2024, marks the comeback of the epic film to theaters.
