This gesture is in line with recent initiatives by Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, all of which eliminated the need for visas for travelers from India.
The country has demonstrated its commitment to growing its tourism business by extending its visa-waiver program to 33 nations in total. Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mauritius, Seychelles, Japan, Bosnia, Tanzania, Vietnam, and many more nations are featured in this program. India’s inclusion fits the country’s objective to reach a variety of visitor demographics, given its quickly expanding outbound tourism sector.
In the past, Iran had instituted visa exemption schemes for a number of nations, such as China, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Oman, Armenia, Lebanon, and Syria. This new development demonstrates Iran’s dedication to promoting international travel and cross-cultural exchange.
Iran has made significant progress in improving its tourism attractiveness, as seen by recent statistics. In the first eight months of the current Iranian year, the number of foreign arrivals in the country increased to 4.4 million, a significant 48.5% increase over the same period the previous year.
