After being first shared by the Twitter account “African Archives” over the weekend, a brief clip quickly became viral online.
It included two men displaying “electrically charged rockes” that can be seen flashing when pushed against each other. In another video, a little fragment of the rock was seeing igniting a tiny bulb.
The Democratic Republic of Congo was allegedly the source of the footage (DRC). But what exactly is it?
According to study, a gramme of these electrically charged rocks, knwn as vibranium, can help light a bulb for more than 72 hours.
In addition, a kilogramme of the same rock can power a two bedroom house for at leat two months.
The combination of magnetic and quartz is said to have produced these electric rocks, which have electrical qualities as a result.
Where was Vibranium found?
Contrary to popular belief, vibranium was not found in the Congo. Interestingly, while being a fictional substance that has been described in various Marvel Universe books, including “Captain America” there is no such thing as vibranium.
Vibranium is portrayed in the movies as having superhuman abilities, including the capacity to absorb and store energy. But it’s not actual
Although the origin of the energy generated by these stones is till unknown, Congo is well recognised for the variety of minerals it is home to, including coltan, cobalt, copper, gold, and tin among others.
Cobalt and Coltan have no electrical charging capability. However, both of these substances have the ability to conduct electricity and can be employed to create electrical devices.
Attempts to use stones to generate energy have been made by researchers all around the world in the midst of the videos’ virality.
According to Nairobi News, the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Katanga region is where vibranium can be found (DRC).
The composition and name of the “electrically-charged rocks” depicted in the viral videos are yet unclear, despite widespread claims that vibranium is fictitious.
