In a recent clash between ISKCON and Maneka Gandhi, the International Society for Krishna knowledge( ISKCON) has taken legal action against the BJP MP, Maneka Gandhi, for her reflections about the association.
Temple has transferred a vilification notice of Rs 100 crore to Maneka Gandhi, criminating her of making unwarranted allegations against them.
The Vice-President of ISKCON Kolkata, Radharamn Das, expressed deep disappointment at Gandhi’s commentary and stated that they would roundly pursue justice to clear their name.
Maneka Gandhi had made some serious allegations against Temple in a videotape. She called ISKCON a “ big fraud ” and claimed that they pretended to cover cows while intimately dealing cattle to butcher houses.
Gandhi contended that ISKCON used government finances and land for their cow harbors, but the cows weren’t being duly watched for.
She indicted them of dealing cows to bumblers and questioned their commitment to cow protection. In response to these allegations, ISKCON’s public prophet, Yudhistir Govinda Das, explosively refuted Maneka Gandhi’s claims.
He clarified that Temple has always been devoted to the protection and care of cows and bulls, both in India and around the world. He explained that the association serves a large number of bulls andnon-milking cows alongside abusing cows with love and devotion.

The contestation seems to have arisen from a letter from a veterinary croaker regarding the Anantapur Govt Goshala, which is maintained by ISKCON. Yudhistir Govinda Das emphasized that the cows and bulls in their care aren’t vended to bumblers, as contended by Gandhi.
He defended ISKCON’s commitment to cow protection and their track record in this regard. Maneka Gandhi’s commentary had caused significant torture among Temple addicts and sympathizers worldwide.
They viewed her allegations as scandalous, libelous , and vicious. The association decided to take legal action to clear their name and character from what they perceived as false propaganda.
In the legal notice transferred to Maneka Gandhi, Temple demanded Rs 100 crore in damages for the detriment caused to their character.
They asserted that Gandhi, as an MP and a former Union Minister, shouldn’t have made similar serious allegations without substantial substantiation. They were particularly hurt by her statements and were determined to seek justice through legal means.
