According to media sources, families can already receive a flat 1 million yen for leaving the city in addition to the support for children. The household must have resided in the central Tokyo metropolitan region for five year in order to be eligible to received support. And those who have been relocated and leave before five years will need to pay back the money.
According to sources, the cost of the funding will be covered by the Japanese government’s central government and local municipalities. If the families desire to create a business in the community, additional support would also be given in that case.
Families have the option of continuing to work from home at their present employment, working at a nearby small or medium-sized business, or creating their own business in the neighbourhood, all of which would qualify them for additional financial aid.
