Only a few days have passed since North Korea tested an intercontinental ballistic missile. Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, has made a nuclear attack threat. According to the Supreme Leader, Pyongyang would not think twice to unleash a nuclear attack if an enemy threatened the DPRK with nuclear weapons.

Kim said this during a meeting with military missile agency personnel, as reported by KCNA, the official military media. Only a few days had passed since North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missile launch.

Kim stated, according to the Korean Central News Agency, that the company’s resolute military action this time “was a clear explanation of the offensive counteraction mode and the evolution of the nuclear strategy and doctrine of the DPRK not to hesitate even a nuclear attack when the enemy provokes it with nukes.”

This week, North Korea declared that it had launched its most recent intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) to assess the readiness of its weapons, especially in view of the escalating hostility from the United States and its allies.

The North Korean leader said that the ICBM launch demonstrated the “high mobility and rapid attack capability” of the military. In addition, the commander demanded further efforts to boost combat effectiveness.

The sister of Kim Jong Un, Kim Yo Jong, criticized the UN Security Council as well for meeting to talk about North Korea’s ICBM test. Yo Jong cited North Korea’s right to self-defense in his criticism of the UN Security Council meeting.

Kim stated, “The UNSC should bear a great deal of responsibility for the reckless actions and behavior of the US and the ROK (South Korea), which have exacerbated the tension on the Korean peninsula by engaging in various forms of military provocations year-round.”
