Vanita Raut, an Akhil Bhartiya Manavata Paksha candidate, promises to provide subsidized whiskey and beer to “poor voters” if elected in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with plans to construct beer bars in villages. Vanita Raut, an Akhil Bhartiya Manavata Paksha candidate for Maharashtra’s Chandrapur seat, has made an unusual political pledge aimed at “poor voters.”

If elected in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Raut has promised to provide subsidized whiskey and beer. She also intends to open beer bars in communities and give away free imported whiskey and beer to those in need, according to India Today reports.

While chatting with India Today, she added, “Jahan gaanv, waha beer baar.” “Yahi mere mudde hain.” According to the source, Raut has committed to regulate imported alcohol distribution, emphasizing that both the vendor and the buyer must be licensed.

She continued, “Extremely poor individuals work hard and find solace in consuming liquor. But they can’t afford good whiskey or beer. They get to drink just country booze, and there is no limit to how much they can ingest, so they pass out. As a result, I want them to try imported booze and like it. I want them to just enjoy themselves.”

Raut ran for the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat in the 2019 elections, but Nitin Gadkari of the BJP won it. In the state Assembly elections, she ran for the Chimur Assembly seat but was beaten by BJP candidate Bunty Bhangdiya.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra is preparing for the next Lok Sabha elections, which will take place in five phases over 48 constituencies. On March 31, the BJP core committee in Maharashtra met with cluster in-charges to examine the state of all 48 constituencies in the run-up to the elections.
