Met Gala, one of the largest fashion events of the year, is on Monday in New Your City.
At this yearly celebration of the Costume Institute’s upcoming exhibition, some of the top designers in the world and the most fashionable celebrities will congregate at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The exhibition in 2023 will honour the legendary career of German designer Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019.
Additionally, the Met Gala will honour Lagerfeld with a dress code that reads simply, “in honour of Karl.”
Viewers may anticipate seeing gala attendees dress in styles that honour Lagerfeld’s director of high-end clothing brands Chanel and Fendi.
Undoubtedly, more than one Met Gala attendee will be seen wearing large, black shades, as Lagerfeld did.
The event will be shown live on television and streamed online for aficionados of celebrity fashion who weren’t able to get their names on the incredibly elite guest list.
