The verified tag or blue label on Facebook and Instagram may soon be paid for, according to the Mark Zuckerberg-led Meta on Sunday.
This suggests that Meta (facebook & Instagram) Platform is currently piloting a premium monthly subscription service called Meta verified this is comparable to Twitter Verified
According to the material on the public domain, customers of this premium Meta Verified service will be able to use a government ID to verify their accounts and receive a blue tick in exchange for a nominal price.
The purpose of this is to support content creators and in their growth, community building, and even impersonation. Facebook
The aforementioned service is anticipated to offer additional protection against impersonation and will start a monthly cost of $11.99 ( Rs 1000 approx) on the internet.
It should be emphasized that this week will see the launch of Meta Confirmed in Australia and New Zealand, with additional nations eventually receiving the service. Even when Twitter first introduced its premium blue tick service or Twitter Blue, it did so in a few countries first before later expanding to others.
