As part of the state’s preparations for the impending Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to unveil 14,000 projects valued at over ₹10 lakh crore in Uttar Pradesh today at the Ground Breaking Ceremony (GBC 4.0). The declaration is made against the backdrop of the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit (UPGIS), which is now taking place in Lucknow and has sparked talks about development and investment.

During the fourth groundbreaking ceremony for proposals presented at the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit, Prime Minister Modi declared that during the past seven years, a red carpet culture has replaced the red tape culture. He continued by saying that business culture has grown and crime has decreased in UP.

“We are gathered here with the resolve to build ‘Viksit Uttar Pradesh’ for ‘Viksit Bharat,'” PM Modi declared. Millions and millions of rupees are being invested in Uttar Pradesh today, underscoring the improvement in attitudes toward business and job prospects in the region.

PM Modi announced intentions to start 14,000 projects in Uttar Pradesh during the event. These projects will be in the manufacturing, renewable energy, IT, food processing, housing, real estate, hospitality, and education sectors, among others. These projects, which have a combined investment of more than ₹10 lakh crore, are meant to boost the state’s economy and create jobs.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi will dedicate the Shri Kalki Dham Temple in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, to symbolize the government’s dedication to both economic and cultural advancement. Additionally, he will unveil the temple model built by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust.

These are the top ten updates regarding PM Modi’s Uttar Pradesh tour for the UPGIS.

1. In Sambhal district, Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Shri Kalki Dham Temple, reiterating the government’s dedication to the advancement of religion and culture.

2. He will also present the temple model, which was built by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust, in front of dignitaries and religious authorities from various backgrounds.

3. Based on investment ideas received during the UP Global Investors Summit 2023, PM Modi will inaugurate 14,000 projects worth more than ₹10 lakh crore throughout Uttar Pradesh in the afternoon session.

4.With a total value of $14,537, these projects span a variety of industries and development schemes, including manufacturing, renewable energy, IT and ITeS, food processing, housing, hotel, and education.

5. The projects with investments of ₹500 crores comprise 300 projects, 895 projects with investments between ₹100 and 500 crores, 4,577 initiatives with investments between ₹10 and 100 crores, and 8,735 projects with investments between ₹1 and 10 crores.

6. These initiatives are anticipated to provide over 34 lakh jobs when they are implemented, greatly increasing the state’s employment prospects.

7. About 5,000 people are expected to attend the ceremony, including businessmen, executives from both Indian and international companies, ambassadors, high commissioners, and other notable guests, underscoring the interest that Uttar Pradesh’s development is receiving on a global scale.

8. The UPGIS gathered ₹40 lakh crore worth of investment ideas last year, demonstrating the state’s increasing attractiveness as an investment destination.

9. The summit’s sectoral sessions will center on important topics such corporate social responsibility (CSR), FDI, and artificial intelligence (AI), encouraging direct communication between participants and teamwork for successful projects.

10.Prior to the event, UPSIDA CEO Mayur Maheshwari disclosed that over 45 districts in Uttar Pradesh had submitted Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) valued at approximately ₹1.5 lakh crore for GBC 4.0, demonstrating the potential for growth and broad enthusiasm.

Additionally, during the UP Global Investors Summit, sectoral sessions on topics like artificial intelligence (AI), foreign direct investment (FDI), and corporate social responsibility (CSR) will be held. These sessions will facilitate direct communication between stakeholders and encourage cooperative efforts for socioeconomic development.
