According to many media sources, India’s GDP reached a historic milestone on Sunday when it crossed the $4 trillion threshold in nominal terms for the first time ever.
The National Statistical Office and the Finance Ministry have not formally acknowledged if the mark has been crossed.
Many prominent BJP officials have published on social media a claimed screengrab from the live tracking GDP stream for all nations based on data from the International Monetary Fund.
Union Minister of State Arjun Ram Meghwal tweeted that this is a pivotal time in India’s international presence after sharing the screen grab.
“India crosses the $4 trillion GDP threshold, a historic achievement that signifies a pivotal point in our worldwide footprint. PM Modi’s revolutionary leadership has taken India to previously unheard-of heights.”
“This is what dynamic, visionary leadership looks like,” stated Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, who also posted the identical photo.
“I’d like to congratulate my fellow Indians on reaching the $4 trillion GDP milestone in our country! More strength and admiration for you, PM Modi,” he remarked on X.
In a post, cabinet minister G Kishan Reddy congratulated the economy for reaching a $4 trillion GDP milestone and looking forward to what lies ahead. “Modi Ki Guarantee: We are headed towards a $5 trillion economy.”

The head of the BJP in Andhra Pradesh, D Purandeswari, congratulated the country on reaching a $4 trillion economy. Billionaire Gautam Adani praised India on its accomplishment and stated that it will only take the nation two more years to rise to the third position in the world’s economic rankings.

India hopes to accomplish its objective of having a $5 trillion economy by 2026–2027.
