Indian billionaire Harpal Randhawa and his son, along with four others, have been killed after their private aeroplane
crashed in southwestern Zimbabwe, PTI reported.
The aeroplane, carrying the six including Randhawa — the proprietor of RioZim, a mining company producing gold and coal as well as refining nickel and bobby— and his son, developed a specialized fault, conceivably leading to amid-air explosion, before plunging into Peter Farm in the Zvamahande region, a Zimbabwe media website iHarare reported.
All passengers and crew onboard were reported dead in the accident last week. The single- engined Cessna 206 aircraft, possessed by RioZim, was en route from Harare to the Murowa diamond mine when the accident took place on Friday. The aeroplane crashed near the Murowa Diamonds mine, which is also incompletely possessed by RioZim.
According to The Herald, a state- possessed daily, the police said the victims included two Zimbabweans and four nonnatives. “ The Zimbabwe Republic Police reports a aeroplane crash which passed on September 29 between 7.30 am and 8 am, where six people are verified dead, ” police said.

According to the report, the fatal accident took place on Friday, September 29, 2023, when the Cessna 206 airplane owned by “Riozim” was traveling from Harare to the Murowa diamond mine. The one-engine aircraft went down close to Riozim’s co-owned Murowa diamond mine.
