Reliance Retail has revealed its brand-new Jio Book, a portable, 4G-LTE-powered laptop made to appeal to users of all ages.
Beginning August 5, 2023, users will be able to purchase JioBook, dubbed “India’s First Learning Book,” for Rs 16,499 at Reliance Digital’s online and physical locations as well as through Amazon.in.
With a sleek design, matte finish, an incredibly slim build, and a light weight of 990 grammes, the Jio Book is a powerhouse. It has 4G-LTE and dual-band WiFi capabilities, a potent octa-core CPU for fluid multitasking, an anti-glare HD display that measures 11.6 inches (29.46CM), an Infinity keyboard, and a sizable multi-gesture trackpad.
Jio Book intends to redefine learning with its cutting-edge JioOS operating system, stylish design, and always-connected features.
“We are committed to introducing cutting-edge goods that support people in their learning journeys. With its cutting-edge features and smooth connectivity possibilities, the brand-new Jio Book is our newest offering that caters to learners of all ages, according to a Reliance Retail representative.
According to the spokesman, the JioBook will revolutionise how people learn and create new possibilities for skill and personal development.
JioBook aims to offer an amazing platform for all learning activities, from taking online classes to learning to code or exploring new businesses like opening a yoga studio or becoming involved in online trading.
Jio introduced internet-capable Jio Bharat phones earlier this month for Rs 999, along with a more affordable monthly package of Rs 123 for unlimited voice calls and 14 GB of data. Jio Bharat was marketed as having “the lowest entry price for an internet-enabled phone” at Rs 999.
Given that India still has 250 million feature phone users who are active mobile customers in the 2G era, the new product sought to forward the “2G Mukt Bharat” agenda. Beginning on July 7, 2023, the first million Jio Bharat phones are under beta testing.
Brokerages monitoring the industry had previously stated that Jio’s introduction of internet-enabled Bharat phones at “attractive pricing” will allow it to increase its market share in the lower end segment and imply a decreased likelihood of price increases in the near future.
