Case Against MK Stalin’s Son for Remarks on Sanatana Dharma

Vineet Jindal, a practicing lawyer, filed a complaint alleging that Udhayanidhi Maran made a provocative, inflammatory, disparaging, and inciting statement against Sanatan Dharam in a lecture.

A Supreme Court lawyer filed a complaint with Delhi Police on Sunday against Udhayanidhi Stalin, Sports Minister of the Government of Tamil Nadu and son of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, for making a controversial statement about ‘Santana Dharma’ on Saturday.

Complainant Lawyer Vineet Jindal stated, “As a Hindu and Sanatan dharma follower, my religious sentiments are hurt by statements made by Udhayanidhi Stalin calling for the abolition of Sanatan dharma and comparing Sanatan with mosquitoes, dengue, corona, and malaria.”

The complaint went on to say that Udhayanidhi Maran’s statements demonstrate his hate for Sanatan Dharma.

He is an MLA and Minister in the Karnataka Government who took an oath to work according to our country’s constitution and must respect all regions, but he purposefully made a provocative and defamatory statement for the Sanatan Dharma with the intent of promoting enmity between religious groups.

By utilizing phrases like “eradication of Santana dharma” and comparing Dharma to mosquitoes, dengue fever, corona fever, and malaria, and stating that “these things which we cannot oppose, we must eradicate.”

Sanatana is the same way. “Eradication and not opposing Sanatana must be our first task,” the complaint states, demonstrating his desire to advocate for and promote the slaughter of Hindu dharma believers.

By making such a statement, Udhayanidhi Stalin has violated sections 153A and B, 295A, 298, and 505 of the Indian Penal Code, which are cognizable and serious offenses. As a result, I beg that you file a FIR against him under the aforementioned section, added the complainant.

According to the complainant, Udhayanidhi Stalin called for a ‘Sanatana Abolition Conference’ while speaking at an event.

“I thank the organizers for naming the gathering “eradication of Santana Dharma” rather than “opposing Sanatana Dharma,” Udhayanidhi Stalin stated.

“There are some things that we must eradicate and cannot simply oppose.” We cannot fight mosquitoes, dengue fever, corona fever, or malaria; we must eradicate them. Sanatanam is the same way. “Our first task must be to eradicate Sanatanam while remaining neutral,” Mr Stalin stated.

He went on to say that Sanatana Dharma rejected both equality and social justice.
