In the wake of Team India pacer Mohammed Shami’s outstanding performance in the semifinal match against New Zealand, Amroha, Uttar Pradesh district administration officials are planning to build an open gym and a mini-stadium in the star pacer’s hometown.
This move, which recognizes Shami’s outstanding performance in the current ICC Men’s ODI Cricket World Cup, is in line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directives. Rajesh Tyagi, the district magistrate of Amroha, made the announcement on Friday. DM Declared Rajesh Tyagi in an interview with ANI.

The aim is to construct an open gym and a mini-stadium in Sahaspur Alinagar, the hometown of a well-known fast bowler in India. Leader of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) party Jayant Singh has expressed support by pushing for funding to help with the building of a sports complex in Shami’s village.
Shami, who is now participating in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, has shown remarkable talent and contributed significantly to his team’s progress to the final. Shami took 23 wickets at a striking rate of 10.91 and an outstanding average of 9.13 in six World Cup 2023 matches. His best score is now 7/57.
