Tom Sizemore, the star of the war drama ” Saving Private Ryan” from the late 1900s, passed away as a result of brain aneurysm at the age of 61.
Charles Lago, Sizemore’s manager, confirmed the actor’s passing to Variety, TMZ, and people on friday.
In a statement to variety and TMZ, Lago wrote, “It is with great grief and sorrow that I must report that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore (aka “Tom Sizemore”), 61, passes away peacefully in his sleep today at St Joseph’s Hospital Burbank.
Sizemore suffered a brain aneurysm brought on by a stroke and passed out at his Los Angeles home on February 19. He was then taken to the hospital, Lago told USA today at the time.
Sizemore’ health had not improved following the aneurysm, according to a follow-up update from Lago on the actor’s status on Feburary 27. Sizemore was still in a come.
Lago said: His family would want to express their gratitude to everyone for the numerous expression of support and well wishes that they have received, but we are requesting privacy for them during this difficult time. For them, this has been a challenging period.”
The actor is most recognized for his performance as Mike Horvath in Tom Hanks’ “Saving Private Ryan.” a 1998 Steven Spielberg film. As well as the 2001 films “Black Hawk Down” and “Pearl Harbor,” he also made an appearance in the 2017 “Twin Peaks” revival series
When you were intoxicated, everybody could tell, so I thought, “Well. look, let me find a medication where I feel comfortable in my own skin,” In 2013 Sizemore spoke to the associated press. “But I did. I came across a substance called cocaine. I engaged in it briefly. Later I discovered heroin, Which was an even better drug.”
