Living with his single mother, Pranshu was discovered hanging on Wednesday at his Ujjain home. He was a well-known Instagram queer content maker with over 13,000 followers. Because of the type of videos he posted, several users harassed and ridiculed him on the platform.

According to authorities, a 16-year-old Instagram content producer committed himself on Wednesday in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, following widespread harassment on the platform due to his videos featuring him decked up in a saree and jewels and being queer.

Pranshu, who went by the username @glamupwithpranshu, has gained over 13,000 followers on Instagram over his rolls featuring him in different makeup looks and frequently in vesture which is conventionally attributed to women.

He was set up hanging in his house in Divine City position by his mama who advised the locals and rushed him to a sanitarium where he succumbed.

The boy was alone at his hearthstone when he allegedly took the extreme step. Pranshu used to dress up in sarees, and suits with makeup and jewellery in the content he posted on his account which led to him entering vulgar commentary, trolling and indeed pitfalls in his direct dispatches for the once many days, police said, adding whether it led to him taking his life is still to be caught on as the disquisition is underway.

Bobbies say since no bone from his family was home at the time of the incident, it’s delicate to find out the reason behind his death. still, Nagjhari SHO A S Gehlot said they’ve examined Pranshu’s Instagram account and taken note of the depreciatory commentary and the trolling he faced on the platform due to the fact that he used to make rolls suggesting the contrary gender and several of his vids had gone viral in the history.

Police have taken Pranshu’s cellphone in possession to nearly examine his Instagram account and pinpoint the people who made depreciatory and vulgar commentary about him and if it drove him to self-murder. Statements of his family and other given people are also being recorded, the SHO said.

Pranshu lived with his mama Priti Yadav at their hearthstone in Divine City on Devas Road after her divorce in 2020 and was studying in 10th standard at the Ujjain Public School.

Expressing unbelief over her son’s death, Priti said she isn’t suitable to figure out why he took his own life and that he was on good terms with other children in the neighbourhood, noway having any problems with anyone.

As the news of Pranshu’s demise surfaced on social media, his followers and several LGBT activists expressed shock and condemned the trolling people from the queer community faced on the internet. His posts were filled with commentary expressing shock and commination of the trolling he faced and calling for action.
