As part of its India Young Professionals Scheme, the UK is giving 3,000 Indian citizens visas through a vote process. Candidates may submit an application throughout the two-day ballot procedure. India Standard Time (IST) will observe the voting period from February 20, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. to February 22, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. Most notably, voting is free of charge.

The first ballot for the #IndiaYoungProfessionalsScheme will open in less than a day! “If you’re an Indian graduate looking to live, work, or study in the UK for up to two years, you can enter the ballot for a chance to apply for a visa,” reads an article published by the British High Commission in India.

“There will be 3,000 slots available for the India Young Professionals Scheme visa in 2024. The majority of the available places will be on the vote in February. The UK Government website states that the ballot in July will be used to fill the remaining positions.

As per UK government requirements, eligible Indian citizens are need to furnish the following details in order to cast their vote. Those who wish to apply for a visa must ensure that they fulfill the required financial, educational, and other requirements.

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Passport details
  • A scan or photo of your passport
  • Phone number
  • Email address

The winning ballot entries will be selected at random. The results of the poll will be delivered to the applicants within a week of its conclusion. Those who apply successfully will have ninety days from the email date to complete their online visa application. To be eligible for a visa, applicants must provide their biometrics and pay the application fee, which covers the immigration health surcharge. The cost of the visa is £298.
