The report highlights the efforts of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath towards making Uttar Pradesh the leading state in terms of economy. As per official data, Uttar Pradesh ranked third in terms of GDP share.

Uttar Pradesh is shown as taking second place in terms of GDP share in a creative post on the social media platform X. Accordingly, Uttar Pradesh closely trails Maharashtra, which has the largest GDP share in the nation at 15.7%, with a GDP share of 9.2%.

Uttar Pradesh has surpassed states like Tamil Nadu (9.1%), Gujarat (8.2%), and West Bengal (7.5%) in terms of GDP share. Significantly lagging Uttar Pradesh are states like Karnataka (6.2 percent), Rajasthan (5.5 percent), Andhra Pradesh (4.9 percent), and Madhya Pradesh (4.6 percent).

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has also moved up the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ rankings, moving from 14th to 2nd place.

Furthermore, as a result of advancements in infrastructure, connectivity, and law and order, the state has been presented with investment ideas of over Rs 40 lakh crore through GIS 2023; these suggestions are probably going to be put into action shortly. In the state, this will result in the creation of over a crore job possibilities.

The state currently exports items valued close to Rs 2 lakh crore. Bank loan-to-deposit ratios have risen from 42–43 percent to 56 percent, with efforts underway to reach 60 percent.

Today, Uttar Pradesh has a surplus of revenue due to the employment rate of 56% of its workforce. In addition, almost 96 lakh MSME establishments have been formed.

Uttar Pradesh, which was formerly thought of as a BIMARU state, is now leading the way in the battle for growth thanks to CM Yogi. These successes will not only position UP as the nation’s growth engine, but they will also help the state reach its $1 trillion economic target.
